BPS-MAE, chemically known as 4-Allyloxy-4'-hydroxydiphenylsulfone (CAS Registry Number: 97042-18-7), is a high-performance organic compound belonging to the class of diphenyl sulfone derivatives. Structurally, it is a monoallyl of Bisphenol S (BPS). It appears as an off-white to pale yellow crystalline powder. BPS-MAE is specifically engineered to function as an efficient color developer in thermal paper coatings, reacting with leuco dyes upon the application of heat to produce a stable image.
